We are excited to announce that the Australian Open Indoor Skydiving Championships will be coming home, to the OG tunnel, iFLY Downunder in Western Sydney. The competition was last held in Penrith in 2019 before covid killed the vibe in 2020.More information about the competiton will be annouced soon.
Who can compete?
The competition is open to everyone that is signed off to fly with others and with many month's until the competition is here, potentially someone who's never even flown before could be competition ready by August!4-Way Formation Skydiving (FS)

Including 2-way Inter, 2-way Open and 4-way VFS

We are excited to make the 2025 Championship bigger and better than ever before. We last held the event in 2019 with 233 registrations making 88 teams over 15 categories. Competitors were from age 9 to 61 and from 9 different countries.
The 2025 Australian Open Indoor Skydiving Championships are free for the public to attend and will be streamed LIVE on Facebook to a global audience.
We are looking for sponsors to help us bring the event to life and while the event will still go ahead with additional sponsorship we can offer bigger prizes, reduced rego fees, cover player-coach slots in rookie teams and fly in international judges. Cash and in-kind sponsorships are welcome.

How it works
Even if you are just starting your flying journey, there's time to train and be ready to compete by August! If you've been before, you'll have a good idea of how it all works, if not, here's a simple run down.
- You will compete all rounds of your chosen discipline in one day.
- We usually have the blast and inter teams on the Friday.
- The Junior Freestyle will be on the weekend (not the Friday).
- There will be a speed setting event before the competition starts, this is included in the entrance fees. You don't have to attend but need to nominate your flight speed (as a percentage) before the competition starts.
- You can compete in multiple events in one day and we will do our best to accomodate requests so you don't have to rush from one event to the next.
- There will be late night team training available in the week leading up to the competition, strictly for those competing. Our standard operating hours are open for bookings before the event now.

By Car:
Travel from Sydney Airport is approx 60 minutes. Travel by the M2 or the M4 is recommended.
By Train:
A fast growing location, there are trains every 10 minutes or less from Sydney Central Station and return. You will need to travel from the T1 line or BMT line to Penrith Train Station, which is a 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk to iFLY Downunder.
Parking: There is a free carpark directly behind iFLY with dozens of accessible car spaces. There is also a drop-off bay in front of iFLY for quick stops and drops.

iFLY Downunder located in Penrith in Sydney's west, was the first indoor skydiving facility in Australia. It is also the largest and most powerful indoor skydiving facility in the Southern Hemisphere!

Flight Club is an Australian owed program, by xReality Group Ltd (xRG).
xRG owns two iFLY franchised tunnels, iFLY Sydney & iFLY Gold Coast, and it is recognised as the tunnels that support Australian skydiving.
Being owned and operated by an independently company, gives us the freedom to do things our way. Like spending heaps of cash every year sending our instructors to attend skydiving events to coach and participate.
