What are the Disciplines?

Formation Skydiving (FS)
Teams of 4 flyers, flying in a belly to earth position, have to complete a many given formations as they can in 35 seconds. Beginner teams are entering the 'Blast' division, while the elite athletes are in the AAA. Look out for out Junior Ambassadors, Lucas and Leo - competing in the Blast.

Vertical Formation Skydiving (VFS)
Teams of 2 or 4 flyers, flying in a vertical position (either sit fly or head down), have to complete a many given formations as they can in 35 seconds. The 'open' categories are for the best VFS flyers.

Freestyle
A bit like air-gymnastics, these flyers perform a solo routine which looks like dancing on air. Competitors will also have some 'compulsory moves' that they need to incorporate into some of their rounds. The athletes have chose music to fly a routine too. This is one of the most stunning categories to watch. Anyone under 18 can fly in the junior category.

Dynamic
A fast paced, vertical race against the clock. Flyers will form teams of 2 or 4 and use the whole tunnel to fly a series of dives. This is great to watch, with the 'open' teams being the best athletes in Australia and across the globe. Look out for team Singapore competing in the 4-way Dynamic.
