Anyone who comes to fly at iFLY and expresses a desire for assistance will be helped by specially trained flight instructors and will be afforded proper accommodations based on specific requirements.

iFLY is a unique event that makes the dream of flight a reality for all.

This program has been custom designed for those with physical and cognitive diversities to create an environment of support and inclusion, while focusing on making what seems impossible, possible.

Downunder (Sydney):
The Last Sunday of each Month. Fly at 4pm or 4:30pm
(arrive 1 hour prior)

Gold Coast:
The last Thursday of each month. Fly at 6:30pm (arrive 1 hour prior).

All Abilities Ambassador, Pete

In 2015, Pete was involved in a tragic workplace accident resulting in the loss of his right leg and leaving him wheelchair bound. 2 years ago, Pete turned to indoor skydiving as an alternate form of aqua-therapy and cardio exercise.

"I was unable to do the aqua-therapy because of risk of infection, but indoor skydiving {I believe} worked better in helping me build strength in my muscles. It also helped with the cardio aspect of exercise which I couldn't gain from other training methods due to my mobility limitations." said Peter.

"Indoor skydiving has not only taught me to fly all over again, but has shown me how to LIVE all over again. I want to meet other all-ability people and share my story with them and hopefully encourage them to think 'I can do that too!'. Choosing this sport has changed my life and I hope changes the general public's views on disabilities." continues Peter.

"I am humbled and extremely proud to be able to push a mandate that promotes including all-abilities in sports and not pushing us away or segregating us from main stream events," state Peter. "iFLY Indoor Skydiving approaches it with a no borders, all-inclusive attitude, which is so rare for people like me; to be included as an equal is important and what iFLY is doing for the community is indescribably awe-inspiring".

All Abilities Ambassador, Greg

Greg was diagnosed with Spina Bifida at birth, but it didn’t slow him down. He played soccer and cricket until his early twenties, when he began to lose muscle tone in his legs. After using various orthotics and walking aides, he transitioned to a wheelchair in December 2020.

Soon after hearing about iFLY and passing by a number of times, he decided it was time to give it a go!

“I wanted to prove to myself that I could still have fun and do all kinds of activities despite being in a wheelchair.” said Greg.

Just like us, after experiencing the “exhilaration and freedom” of flying, he was hooked!

“As soon as I entered the building the atmosphere was both professional and fun. All the staff were friendly, very helpful, and considerate of my and other’s needs.” said Greg.

Seeing the exhilaration and freedom that indoor skydiving gives Greg, and all our flyers, is why we are so passionate about making iFLY as accessible and inclusive to as many people as possible.

All Abilities Ambassador - Adam Sheppard

Adam is a retired elite wheelchair athlete, mindset coach, personal trainer, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, awards winner and wheelchair racing coach from the Sunshine State, where he lives with his wife of 12 years, Christy, and their 5 year old son, Fletcher.

He’s also a partner of InvincAble, an organisation that exists to give visibility to disability whilst empowering ALL people, regardless of ability, to embrace their diversities and chase their dreams.

Having been born with Spina Bifida and the medical condition hydrocephalus, Adam has been part of the local disabled community for many years; whether it be through the various sports he has been involved in, the many committees he has participated in or the community and advocacy groups he has worked tirelessly for. Adam has also recently become a bilateral amputee.

Fast forward to 2018 when he was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. After treatment and been given the all clear by doctors Adam made the decision to say YES more and NO less… this is where iFLY came in. Jumping out of a perfectly good plane still wasn’t on the cards, however, once Adam was introduced to the incredible iFLY experience, he was absolutely hooked!

KIDS' ALL ABILITIES SESSIONS

Is your little one living with disability and looking to fly? These Summer holidays, we're hosting two additional All Abilities sessions, to give kids living with disability the opportunity to experience the thrill of flight in a safe and stress-free environment!
