PARA INDOOR SKYDIVING
This new discipline for athletes living with disability, is a solo timed race to touch coloured lights in the wind tunnel in the fastest time.
We were proud to host the Handifly Race in 2025. Cyril from France took out the gold, while Heath from iFLY Gold Coast claimed the number one Aussie spot. The event was also a chance to share information on techniques and equipment. Thank you to Chris from Adpative Athlete Academy for brining this event to life!
Handifly has been renamed to para indoor skydiving to include all disabilities and will return to iFLY Downunder 14th to 16th August 2026 at the Australian Open Indoor Skydiving Championships.

Downunder (Sydney): The Last Sunday of each Month. Fly at 4pm. (arrive 1 hour prior)

Make it your sport
Indoor Skydiving isn't just something you should try once - make it your weekly or monthly sport instead!
Chris flew with us once before he became paralyzed in a paragliding accident in 2022, but he didn't join the sport until 2024. Since then, he's introduced hundreds of friends to try Indoor Skydiving, convinced our All Abilities Ambassador, Greg to join him in a team against able bodied flyers at the Australian Championships and been a pivitol contact in bringing the Handifly Race to Australia.
iFLY Downunder in Sydney has a leg harness for anyone with no lower limb movement who would like to on a regular basis.

Greg was diagnosed with Spina Bifida at birth, but it didn’t slow him down. He played soccer and cricket until his early twenties, when he began to lose muscle tone in his legs. After using various orthotics and walking aides, he transitioned to a wheelchair in December 2020.Soon after hearing about iFLY and passing by a number of times, he decided it was time to give it a go!
“I wanted to prove to myself that I could still have fun and do all kinds of activities despite being in a wheelchair.” said Greg.
Just like us, after experiencing the “exhilaration and freedom” of flying, he was hooked!
“As soon as I entered the building the atmosphere was both professional and fun. All the staff were friendly, very helpful, and considerate of my and other’s needs.” said Greg.
Seeing the exhilaration and freedom that indoor skydiving gives Greg, and all our flyers, is why we are so passionate about making iFLY as accessible and inclusive to as many people as possible.

All Abilities Ambassador, Adam
Adam is a retired elite wheelchair athlete, mindset coach, personal trainer, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, awards winner and wheelchair racing coach from the Sunshine State.
He’s also a partner of InvincAble, an organisation that exists to give visibility to disability whilst empowering ALL people, regardless of ability, to embrace their diversities and chase their dreams.
Having been born with Spina Bifida and the medical condition hydrocephalus, Adam has been part of the local disabled community for many years; whether it be through the various sports he has been involved in, the many committees he has participated in or the community and advocacy groups he has worked tirelessly for. Adam has also recently become a bilateral amputee.
Fast forward to 2018 when he was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. After treatment and been given the all clear by doctors Adam made the decision to say YES more and NO less… this is where iFLY came in. Jumping out of a perfectly good plane still wasn’t on the cards, however, once Adam was introduced to the incredible iFLY experience, he was absolutely hooked!

Natasha is an elite adaptive athlete, entrepreneur and Gold Coast woman of the year 2022. Together with our Ambassador Adam, they co-founded InvincAble, an empowerment hub based on the Gold Coast.
Tash has won international marathons and more recently made powerlifting her thing - having represented Australia in the 2025 Championships in Egypt.
When she's not busy training, competing or working, Tash loves to pop in for a fly alongside Adam.
